Beth Poss is an assistant principal in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) in Maryland. She also consults privately on best practices in educational and assistive technology. She has previously served as a member of the MCPS assistive technology team and as the Instructional Specialist for Universal Design for Learning in the Office of Curriculum and Instructional Programs. She is an adjunct faculty member for Johns Hopkins University and presents nationally on best practices in Professional Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Learning and other Educational Disabilities, Assistive Technology, Instructional Technology and Universal Design for Learning. Areas of special interest include Designing Inclusive Learning Environments, Visual Supports for Students with Disabilities, and Culturally Responsive Teaching.
